Jumped into the Quarter Bore Pool.....

RJ Renner has a picture on his website of a 25-35 stalking rifle that he builds out of a standard Ruger no 1A. I don't think I am allowed to post the link so I won't. After the Bob and the 25-20 the 25-35 wcf is my next favourite quarterbore.

That is pretty slick looking. But the full stock on the OP's is also very nice.
 
Not hard on the eyes at all.You will find that IMR 4350 is your friend with the .257 Roberts and 100-120gr pills.I run a Rem 700 Classic in .250 Savage/100gr Sierra /Win 760 makes one hole groups.

Renner has found a cool niche market. I like his work.
 
I have a 257Roberts that works very well but I think if I was going to do it all again, I'd go with a M700 in 250 Savage faux TI style rifle.

Saying that, the 6.5CM is probably a better practical choice.

Got my 257 Wby back today, hopefully get it out for some load development soon/once the range opens back up.
