I give slight thought to building a nice stainless .25-35 Improved No.1 ever since the what chambering would you like to see in a No.1 thread.

So its not abnormally short, it just looks that way to me for some reason. At any rate it looks beautiful and also super handy!

It’s a single shot so there’s no action length, they’re short as a 16” barreled bolt action.

The Renner stalking rifle looks pretty sweet. The .25-35 is a very pleasant & accurate round to work with. It's my favorite of the 25's.

Not hard on the eyes at all.You will find that IMR 4350 is your friend with the .257 Roberts and 100-120gr pills.I run a Rem 700 Classic in .250 Savage/100gr Sierra /Win 760 makes one hole groups.

I never learned to appreciate silver scopes. This said, if you want a rifle to look good it shouldn’t have a scope on it period.

I have a 257Roberts that works very well but I think if I was going to do it all again, I'd go with a M700 in 250 Savage faux TI style rifle.

Saying that, the 6.5CM is probably a better practical choice.

Got my 257 Wby back today, hopefully get it out for some load development soon/once the range opens back up.
