If you mean the LeeEnfield No.4, then wait no more. GO get yourself one and see for yourself :)

As for the Arisaka, I haven't shot it yet, but I have high hopes ;)

Just pulled the trigger on this little late war gem :)

Sadly it's an RC. But the bright side is the rifle was originally only serial numberesd on the receiver and the bolt and I have almost all the correct swp45 parts to make it "matching except for bolt". i have to repair the stock I have though - it's duffle cut.

I'll never own a non-refurb swp45 since nearly all these rifles were captured at the factory and distribution depot by the russians when they over-ran Czechoslovakia in 1945. Virtually none were distributed to western theatre troops to be captured by the allies, making swp45 coded K98k's the No.1 rarest non-refurb K98k's in existence.

Nope, it's the standard semi-rimmed 6.5.
I really lucked out, what I wanted was a plain old imperial Japanese army carbine.

Here are my contributions
Nice little carbine to start thing off

A r/c 147, 1940, decent bore, great shooter & a nifty cleaning kit to boot

A bcd/ar post war rebarrel(you can shave with the rifling) sporter I want to make more sniperesque, I hope I haven't bit off more than I can chew, those mounts are dammed expensive. Maybe an ed harris tribute?

Picked up a beauty of a Berthier M1907/15 from Jean Plamondon. Built on an M1916 receiver, September 1917 stock cartouche, mismatched bolt, nice bore. I've since fixed the barrel band so the sling ring is orientated correctly.

Info on this k98k sniper rifle

Okay Klunk, here ya go;

JP Sauer & Son marked eagle over 37.
Has a "cad" scope (kahles 4x)
High turret scope mounts marked eagle over 37.
All matching number on the rifle, but not on the scope.
Looks to be a late war refurb as it is also marked eagle over 137 with an original leather rear sight protector.

This is 1 of 3, the next one up (to follow this summer) will be a bnz sniper with a single claw & dialytan 4x scope mounted on a byf44 with checkered butt plate fitted with double set triggers!

It's amazing what you can dig up in the ole panzerkampfwagon!

3 original K98 snipers???

.....Not fair.....

Unfortunately, they are not original sniper rifles, however they have the original components.

The original ones are somewhat difficult to obtain these days, and the pricing is a little steep.

Milsurp cherry popin action here...my first. Savage Lee Enfield purchased from a CGN member. Lets hope its a good shooter.

Well, if it doesn't shoot you can send it to me, or use the bayo to roast marshmallows.

Let us know how it shoots. Also, if you hold the trigger back while closing the bolt, you don't have to store it cocked.
