Duhhh....I dont THINK the Finns used armour sheilds....?....did they?

The tripod has several 'mystery' brackets on the forward edge...one is for the uber rare AA tripod leg...the others....dun know

I would make one outa plexiglass and paint it up....the fukcin thing already weighs 210+++pds

Yeah, there are Finn armor shields. I've even seen them SA marked Finland officially droped the shield in the mid 1930's, but many (most?) of the guns they captured from Russia in WW2 timeframe would have also had the shield. They are rare today (Finn ones).

Collector's source does have at least one shield - not sure where else you'd find one?

It's a refurb spec. ALL Laminate stocked SKS's out of Russia are refurbs as all the originals (ALL) had arctic birch prior to the refurb program, as well as bright bolts and bayonets.

Not all refurbs are marked as such.

Nevertheless, nice rifle. Non-refurb Rooskie SKS' are not exactly easy to locate.
