Recently I aquired a Lee Enfield #5. The seller told me this was a numbers matching rifle, I know little about these things and have my doubts with respect to the authenticity of this rifle; from what I have seen of this model on the web, the fore end on mine appears to be incorrect.
Regardless of whether this rifle is a genuine or an imposter, I would like to have the correct wood, and would like a gunsmith to give it a full inspection and refinish the metal.
Anyone out there particularly interested in this kind of work on this type of rifle?
