I've installed the forend rail unit on my rifle. I'll do up a review with pics asap. It's dark and cold up here these days so may take a while to do a reliability test in terms of shooting, holding zero etc.
My initial impressions are I'm still not sold on how it's not symmetrical on both sides but, it's not exactly a cosmetically beautiful rifle anyway.
It installs fairly solidly and while I wasn't keen on the fact it clamps to the barrel as well, it does appear the barrel clamp is more to keep it wobbling up and down than any real kind of major contact point. That being said it may affect accuracy but, it's not a target rifle anyway.
I have my russian red dot mounted on it and it just fits in between the carry handle and front sight. Also have a flashlight on a side rail on an offset mount just to see how it accessorized.
Is it worth 150$? Sure. My initial impression is just know what you're buying so you're not disappointed. It certainly has a more functional than aesthetic appeal to it...
