Finally a youtube video that I don't feel owes me my time back. I think it was a great video given that it was a parts gun. I want to see them get that bolthead out and finish it off with a bang. Sure some parts were questionable but remember they tell everyone not to try it at home, they did this all at their own risk for our enjoyment and education. Collectors shouldn't cringe, their rifles just went up in value

Actually, Eric was in service in Iraq, and is practically deaf from being in combat I've seen him in other videos shooting without hearing protection.

Reinforces what I already knew....tough as a coffin nail, commie made, battle proven rifles. I would have been more upset if it wasn't put together of spare parts but overall it was an interesting watch.

I'm impressed with just the beating it took from them hitting it with the 2x4 to unjam the bolt. I figured the bolt lever would break off with all that pounding.

We are between shipments from the Motherland.

The last ones went out to retailers and were bought up at the cheap price. Now they are all in the hands of shooters, who either:

1. Are collectors, and aren't giving them up right now.
2. Are Bubbas, and they were cut up and mangled.
3. Are pragmatic, and think that their Mosin isn't worth re-selling since it was so cheap in the first place, so it just sits there.

Still, they come up on the EE regularly (and are bought quickly). And you'll be hard pressed to attend a gun show and not find several.

There are imports on the way: SFRC has a pre-sale you can put in your cart, and Westrifle has waiting lists (they are site sponsors with banners above). I'm sure when these come in the usual non-sponsor stores will have some as well.
