Well, dammit. I bought a T3 lite a few weeks ago and like it so much that I bought a T3 Tactical in .308. I know virtually nothing about rifles so any advice/tips you guys can offer would be appreciated. Anything to watch out for?

tika in my opinion is one of the best out of the box shooters there is, make sure u break the barrel in properly, and then work up some nice handloads and there isnt much you should need to do!

i to have a t3 lite in .338wm of a bipod and no rear bag it shoots 1-1.5" at 100yds all day, bag it in nicely and u should see much better then that!

I don't reload yet (no room), but for a beginner im sure factory ammo will do. Now I have to sell one of my handguns to buy a scope for this thing lol.

Results will be best with heavier bullets. They are fantastic rifle, i have owned two of them. I beg to differ with the completely unsubstantiated "Break-in your barrel" comment, as this is of absolutely no proven benefit.

Invest in the best glass you can afford and have fun.

Get some good rings. Leupold Mark 4, Nightforce, or Near are a few. And like Obtunded said the best glass you can buy. I would suggest getting a box of Federal Gold Medal ammo to get a base line of accuracy. Then you can also use the brass to work on a load. I have been more that pleased my T3 Tac.

I am going to get a one piece scope mount from Dednutz. I have one on my T3 Lite and love it.

Scope waaaaaaaaaay too high for me..cheek rest will be at the top..looks like a shooter though..where are the targets?

I like mine so low that the scope covers have to be trimmed..

Your tube mount is only as solid as the screws holding the base on..a good set of rings is all you need..then your scope won't be touching the clouds..lol

Don't take what we say personally. It's your rifle and you can do whatever you want. I personally like the lowest setup possible. If it fits you good then that's perfect. I want to see some groups now. Get it to a range ASAP and post some targets. Let's see how she shoots.

On my way lol. According to mystic precision a higher mount can be better for repeatable accuracy. Will go with that lol. My T3 lite shoots 3 rounds in the same hole with this same mount at 100 yards.

Well what can I say..This is now my favorite rifle by a mile. After initial zeroing it shot 2 shots through the same hole seen here:

This is the last 5 shot group I got just using Federal 150gr crap ammo and I was fatigued and have a bandage on my ring finger lol:

Was shooting on a bipod with no other support but my arm pit. Love the Viper scope as well, fantastic glass.
