IMO, one of the best aspects of the Outlaw is that it looks cool, and it's cheap enough that you can buy it for that reason alone.

Damn Straight!
Oh, and I got mineeeeeeee, I got mineeeeee :D

Bunny hunting this weekend, report to follow I should say :ninja:

With the outlaw (SxS) and backpacker; can the hammer(s) be safely brought down on loaded chamber(s) ?

BAAAADDDD SNIPER!

Someone's forgotten their safety course already. With rebounding hammers you stick one thumb between the pin and the face of the hammer as a precaution, and then use the other hand to lower the hammer slowly.

Of course you should also keep it pointed in a safe direction at the same time, in case you pull the wrong trigger for the hammer you are holding back.

Or you could do it with the action open.

of course, but he asked if he could safely drop the hammer on a loaded chamber, and that's the way it's taught in the safety course.

P.S. I think this gun does have a choke, I can feel a constriction with my finger, I'm goin down to the gunshop to get it measured, and show it off to my cousin when the reggy gets here.

Right on I hope it does, that will really add to it's versatility.

I, might even use it for birds if it patterns alright.

Dammnit!

It's acting up. I'll have to send it back, because I don't want to mess up the bluing on a gun that's one day old taking it apart myself and break warrantee.

I took off the screws from the sideplate, and wiggled the sideplate and the hammers would drop, then when I put them back in, and tried to #### and drop, they wouldn't go again.

it tried taking the sideplate off, but the pin that's on there is holding tight, and wouldn't come loose when I firmly tried tapping it out with a brass punch.

Then the safety wouldn't go on. So I pulled the screws, wiggled the sideplate, and the safety would work again, but then the hammers stopped dropping.

repeat screws out and wiggle.

Hammers down again, and now I'll just leave it.

GRRR!

It's one thing to market a cheap pump gun. But a sxs hammer gun is a completely different beast. If I were you guys I would completely disassemble the gun, locks too and thoroughly clean the insides. Check for metal filings and wood chips. Oil lightly and use grease on the hinge pins. Good luck.
