Well, maybe I am a bit of a gun snob, but I would rather wait and buy a few quality things than act on the impulse to buy the cheap knock off stuff!

There's a lot of enjoyment to be had out of the cheapies, especially when they're backed by reputable firms like Can Am and Marstar. And it's interesting how often cheapies become sought after (SKS, Nork M-14's etc.). Loosen up and appreciate them for what they are...and that's definitely not junk, regardless of the low sticker price.
but, don't you need 3 1/2 inches for those big geese at long range?
I guess what scares me most about these things is that when a new shot gunner sees all the hype on here he may think they are the ultimate shotgun... at a great price. He buys one, finds out that there really isn't much he can do with a 12" sxs. Other than maybe blow up a few potatoes and Watermelon. Please don't chime in and say they would make a great Bear defence gun, cause they wouldn't. So he ends up getting bored with it and gives up on the sport. I guess one of these would be ok for someone experienced to have something to goof around with at hunt camp. But I hope anyone new to the sport stays clear of them.

A shooter owes it to him/herself to try out as many different firearms as possible. You no like, I bet you sell it for the same money you paid. Sometimes more. As for protecting "new shotgunners" against the deprivations of CanAm and Marstar customers, am I alone in detecting a faint scent of Fuddism?
I agree with most of what you say, but the statement in bold. I do not think that anyone with experience would want to have anything to do with them. Just good for potatoes and watermelon.

Well I don't know about Win/64, but if calling cheap knock off stuff what it is, is Fuddism, then call me Fudd
The double with a pair of matched barrels one short and one longer would be a nice option.
I think the single makes a descent hikeing gun if you have problems sleeping in the bush without a firearm but don't want to lug alot of extra steel.
