Wow. Just received my first non-refurbished bayonet from Eastern Europe and I love it. Love the amazing "click" it makes attaching itself to the rifle. I definitely recommend other owners to obtain one for themselves. I got it for $175US. You won't regret it. There are some for sale on Ebay but maybe you can make a deal and get them cheaper.

I had a line on what i thought was an SVT bayonet; but it was a Mauser. The joker had just posed a pic of a mauser bayonet and said it fit.

Looks nice. The guy in your signature pic looks like Feldgendarmerie (Military Police). I guess they were probably issued captured or other second line weapons quite frequently.

Acquiring a captured SVT was a huge trophy for any German soldier. There are tons of pictures on the net of Germans using captured SVTs. They loved the rifles and the Nazis issued their own manual for them. Imagine going from 5 shot bolt action to 10 round semi auto - just a slight confidence boost for the user.

Nice! Now you have to find another one with different scabbard, and another one with upper blade cut. After that there will be a turn for SVT-38 bayo and then AVS-36 and you're done :)
How much did it cost shipped to the door? Last I bought one it was $220 or so.

Lol...I paid about $220 Canadian too incl shipping from a seller in the Czech Republic and I have another one coming from the same seller for the same price. I got both(each) for $175US plus shipping(registered mail). There is one on US Ebay now on auction but the listing says the owner will not ship outside of the US. I just think the unfurb bayo's are so much cooler than the refurbs. You can tell the one I just got had seen a lot of use from the frayed belt loop. The one I have coming is in the same untouched condition as the first except it has a leather belt loop. There is seller on Ebay that has an SVT bayo for $499.00!!! Yikes...

Argh, I saw all those on eBay and he had them listed for $270 Cdn + shipping, never even thought to lowball him. Ended up paying $250 Cdn + shipping from a Canadian dealer for an arsenal refurb.

It does look nice and pointy on the end of the SVT though.

I was slightly dubious about it being an arsenal refurb (basically, re-blued), until I got it. Nothing smells quite like ComBlock cosmoline.

Side note: Ever try and flush cosmoline out of the inside of a bayo scabbard? It's even less fun than you imagine.

Pics of bayo attached please! As I own neither the svt or bayo...............yet!
