Just received my first non-refurbished SVT-40 bayonet

We are still discovering new info on the SVT's and their usage during and after WW2. We know former Soviet allies were given them after the war. It has been floating around on the net that some or most of the bayonets were melted down for their steel. Is this true or just a rumor? Time will tell. Right now there are six or seven bayonets on US Ebay for sale and all are non-refurbished.

Now there are none lol...

I found this site and messaged them. They say they have a few SVT bayonets for $165 but won't send pics. I even questioned them on whether the STV 40 bayo was a SVT Bayo but received no reply. I thought I'd pass along the link to those that might be interested in following this up:
