just right carbine what are your feelings

Well, then this is your first hand report of a JR Carbine .40 cal that is going back for refund.

I purchased my JR Carbine From a reputable reseller in Ontario, a couple of weeks ago. I've yet to be able to shoot more then 5 rounds without a jam, and horrible damage to the brass. The rounds fired from that rifle are no longer reloadable. I will see if there is a manufacturer recall and fix, I really hope so. I wanted a US built AR-15 style NR carbine.

That sucks.
I have a .40 cal that has about 300 rds through it now. The first 150 only had one jam with Winchester fmj 165gr. I bought another 150 rounds of Winchesters "clean brass" target rounds and had about 5 or 6 jams.
Also contact JR themselves as I've found that their customer service is above and beyond.
See what they say.

I sent them a message on Sunday night. Haven't heard back yet.

I dropped it off at Epps. They're going to modify te feed ramp. One of the guys that works there has one, and it had the same issues.

I used some emery cloth to smooth and widen the channel on the feed ramp. I haven't been to the range yet but I did test some inert loads and they all fed without a hitch. I'll post an update once I've put it through its paces at the range.

Maintenance is a lot easier on the Kriss, and it's a lot more compact, too. But yeah, I hear ya.

Is the NR version front heavy when compared to other pistol caliber rifles of the same "category"? (JR carbine, Keltec 2000, etc).

I haven't had the chance to play with any of them, but the barrel on the Kriss looks looks heavy on photo.
