recently acquired a nice K31 and some GP11. must say I love it, never worked a bolt that smooth and positive and I have owned 2 mausers.
anyways, on to the question. I am going to go shoot it tomorrow, and I don't want to waste too much ammo.
how do I start to sight it in? I know to put the rear sight at its lowest, marked 1(I am assuming 100m?)
however, underneath the leaf is a small non blued round item with 4 numbered marks on it. It turns and I am assuming it raises and lowers for more precise control of the elevation zero? I cannot find anything about it on the internet. Is it like the front sight for an AR-15 and similar?
Like I said, I don't want to totally waste ammo and help would be greatly appreciated.
thanks!
oh, PS, I hear that its a centered hold for 100 and 200m, but a 6 oclock hold for 300+? is this true?
any other tips?
