How about bringing in KAC small parts to build a .308 platform with the new Mega machine upper/lower. Barrels and everything else are pretty easy to get here allready.

-Rail Cover Panels
-Micro flip-up front and rear sights
-Aimpoint offset rail mount
-URX rails (medium, rifle, and SR-25 lengths)
and how about a batch of SR-15 lowers marked "multi-caliber" so they can be imported.

Or pistol marked multi caliber SR15's with the short barreled upper on it
What everyone else has said plus .308 SR/25 lower parts kits to finish of a Mega Machine .308 ambi controls would be nice for it aswell.
The new micro flip up sights and of course the ambi controls for the AR 15, I have one lower set up with the KAC ambi mag release and ambi-safety and these two parts are the best things I`ve attached to my AR in a long time.
I'm not One Shot but I would guess it would be much closer to 6k CDN, is not just under, and the rifle be around $5,400 ish.

Problem is its a US M110 Rifle contract spare part, so dealer is more than .gov, and retail is more than dealer...
CQB Uppers are not currently available outside of Gov contracts. If One Shot wants to try to import some (keep in mind SBR 5.56mm chambered...) we can quote him for them.

I know you guys are going to roll your eyes when you read this but is there any way to have a KAC Lower to go with the SR-15 upper? If you can get them here what kinda money are they?
Good luck with a .308 AR build. North of 49, you are going to be sol.
Your best bet is to nut up for an LMT MWS - especially if you are after the ambi controls. OR go bigger and get a complete Knight's SR25....
If the wife wasn't back in school, I'd be all over getting an SR25 to sit between the MWS and SR15
Now to lock up the credit card til xmas.

KAC/KMC builds stuff for government requirements, the SR-15E3 was really the one commercial push we did in years, the original SR-25 Match Rifle was envisioned for civilian sale, however government orders have been the 99% of the SR-25's.
