Hi,
I am posting this on behalf of a friend as I’m trying to help out.
Long story short, a friend had a Kar 98az in the family since his great grandfather brought it back from WW1. The different sides of the family weren’t on the best terms and along the way, the rifle was sold (with a few others). That certainly caused a lot of drama.
The rifle entered the market and may have wound up at a dealer in Ontario a few years ago. Who knows where it is now, but it should be around.
He still has a bring-back slip for the Kar98az, which he’d like to track down.
It’s a shot in the dark, but here’s the info:
Kar98az, 1915 Erfurt, serial number 7547c.
He recalls the stock being dark brown. I figure this post may help, as his previous efforts have failed.
Thanks
