Thread title lied.

Looks ok, but it's still a Kel-Tec.

I'm curious how much you're into this rifle for.

How did the title lie? OK, so maybe it's not making everyone want one but it's a damn good attempt!

As for how much i'm in to the rifle for is a bit interesting.. mainly because I already had all of the accessories for years before I purchased the rifle. But.. if you want a breakdown;

Rifle was $900 with the rail forend
UBR stock was i think.. $250 purchased for my AR-15
EOTech sights were I believe $900 purchased for my Non-restricted ACR
Magpul BUIS came with my Non-restricted ACR
MFT foregrip.. probably $30? cant really remember
Inforce 500 Lumen light.. umm.. $120ish?

Again.. most of these accessories were just transferred from my Non-restricted ACR years ago. So it truly cost me $900. but to tally it up, $2200. mother of god... for an SU-16! hahah!

What ever though, they will float between the SU-16 and ACR anyways doing double duty.

would love to help, but it was custom work done by the previous owner.

Ok.

It is a nice looking rig, I hope you didn't take offence at what I said. The main thing about any rifle is that "it works for you" - making it your own, customizing it the way you want it, is never a lost effort.

I find I shoot the rifles I "like" better than the ones that make me feel "meh" - it has nothing to do with inherent accuracy or reliability. If I really like a rifle, for whatever reason, I shoot it more and I shoot it better.

Hopefully the newer models have had their issues resolved and this doesn't happen to your rifle, either way eyes and ears always.

That is one of the best SU's out there. I just wish KT would do something about the buttstock joint. It does look kind of tacked-on.

Because the pictures did not make us want a SU16. I agree with the others. The cheap looks and excessive screws kill it for me. It looks like the gun was designed in a Chinese sweat shop using the generic Windows Paint program that comes with every PC.

Always shot factory ammo with it...properly cleaned and reassembled after every trip. Not many rounds through it. Never again. Got rid of both my Sub2k and sold the SU16 for parts. Good riddance.

Owned s Sub 2000, worked well and was fun. Traded it for a CZ 858. Your rifle looks good, but I wouldn't want one. If they were closer in price to what they go for in the States, I might change my mind...

I was thinking about getting an SU-16 if I ever decided to get back into actually buying guns and not selling them. It looks like an AR but isn't. Do they have a bolt hold open/release or do you have to use the charging handle?

Care to share you experiences? Why would you not want another?

Plastic was weak, and the rifle wouldn't group(my mini14 seems to shoot better). I had no confidence in the rifle, thought I might break it every time I handled it. And I was also getting the odd stovepipe. Sold it and eventually got my wood & steel mini 14 which I like better and has been 100% reliable.
Actually I had a 7615p not long after too, which I also would consider a better firearm.

This thread has made me consider selling my SU16 more than it has made me want to buy (another) one.

I swore I'd never buy a Kel-Tec again after 1) my PMR-30 blew up, and 2) the quality of the Sub2000 (stovepipes galore and tupperware plastic).

The KSG is built semi-decently (I've heard RFB is their best built gun, though), yet I still don't trust it not to fail, blow up, etc.

Kel-Tec has some of the most innovative designs and engineering but worst quality. It really is a shame.

haha yes sir! It's up there as we speak. Just from all of the horror stories i'm hearing.. I'm not comfortable with it. I know it's probably a small portion and mine will be fine.... however I'm not a gambling man. I'll stick with my pride and joy ACR!

Still have to admit though... it looks freaking badass!
