Keltec SU16-FX

Ran 50 rounds of Remington's .223rem, and another 150 rounds of Norinco's...everything is a-ok !
The action did indeed stayed open after the last round was fired, and I must say the SU16-FX is a dandy little devil of a... .223 rifle !
Had a Nikon scope mounted, and it was "ringing" the gong off at 200m...
The disassembly of the FX is somewhat different from the regular SU-16s ?? But the instruction booklet that came with the FX is of the regular "kind !"
...I'll probably cycle through another 100 rounds before cleaning the bolt carrier,etc ...maybe I will just find out for myself if the Norinco's are really that... "dirty!!"

The idea is that Wantsalls pays for this portion of the forum thus it isn't nice to discuss competitors on the section the pay for. Fine to discuss it in other areas. It's courtesy more than anything. Wanstalls can clean it up if they wish
 
I was told in the beggining that they were a limited run. Vault discussed the plans to build all black ones but no idea if it came to light. This is a rifle that vault put together, when i called kel tec about them nobody there knew what a su16fx was LOL
 
Talked to Vault the other day. Apparently there are more coming this year, in a different colour. There is also something else on tap that is "even more evil looking" (exact quote) and more badass than the FX, although the guy I talked to wouldn't say any more..

RDB is taking a long time to get an FRT (apparently no sample yet) and didn't hear anything about the CMR-30 (last time I mentioned it to vault they said they had no intention of bringing them in).
 
I'll believe it when I see it. Hopefully the build quality will be better. (I have an SU16-FX), I think they may have a couple cool projects in the works, wait and see I guess.

After my PMR30 blew up and my Su-16fx had to go back to kel tec for 100 days (restricted barrel fiasco) I might never buy a kel tec product again. But whenever I say that they always come out with something I can't resist. You're right though they really need to increase their build quality. My sub2000 feels cheaper than a hi point. I think its going to snap in half at the chamber, I would never run hot 9mm through that thing.

i love any tool that eats any ammo. I luv my sub, and wish they had it in 22
 
I have to agree, I've seen two kel tec su-16 receivers break myself...glad I sold mine in time lol
 
I have a sub 2000 too, with red lion upgrades. I love the idea, form factor etc... but could have been so much better. I got my sub 2000 from wanstalls, but the su-16fx elsewhere ... mine was tied up in the re-barrel fiasco too.

Wrong section entirely there guy....read up on the rules. Post that in the equipment exchange.
