Just an informative newsflash for ya... what happens south of the border with regards to current events and policy decisions has a huge impact on Canadians also..
ummmm... have you been to a gas station recently... or a grocery store... or purchased and ammunition or reloading supplies..
Nobody is weird for paying attention to current events... the only thing weird is the "people who don't"

You're conflating different issues. I've said previously that the kid was innocent, but that's beside the point. Sure other things south of the border might have an impact on Canadians with regards to war, pipelines, inflation, or other things that are worth paying attention to. But like I said, a ruling on self defense by a judge in Wisconsin has 0 bearing on your life whatsoever. As much as I would like to, you can't CCW or carry here in Canada.

I never said anyone was weird paying attention to current events. Look at the big picture, people on both sides of the Canadian political spectrum using this topic to "own" the other side, trying to "trigger" the other side, frothing at the mouth and basing their self identity on a side when it has no bearing on us whatsoever. Now that's weird.

I had a good read of this tread, and all I can say is wow!
The goverment had a good reason to ban all restricted black rifles.

I'm a lawyer. Innocent until proven guilty beyond a reasonable doubt is the glory of our system of rule of law (and that of our American cousins). This young fellow and anyone who emulates him, though, is still a fool. He should have stayed at home.
