Managed to find one of these kits on Target Sports used, so glad I found this thread detailing all the ins and outs - they seem to be pretty rare in Canada. Thanks Canuck44
Had originally ordered an SAI R9, just to find out it was made prohib 2 days later… luckily managed to cancel and get this instead. Fortunately this one’s a bit safer from the bans.

You probably know you need the correct part that fits on the beavertail for the gun you are going to use. I tried twice to get the part for the PPQ Walther without success. I have one for my Gen 1 M&P Pro and one for my 92FS. Its unfortunate the kit has been ruled illegal for IDPA in Canada, The decision sucks but really only affects Sanctioned matches. I doubt anyone would care for club marches. Then again I'm not sure how many clubs monitor the prohib rules either.

Great call out, managed to order the adapter for my P320 directly from the manufacturer. Was a bit worried that it would get held up at customs because it’s a gun part and they didn’t ask for my PAL. Fortunately breezed right through. Kit arriving tomorrow, will share an update then!

I’m considering grabbing one of these. Any particular reason to purchase through Zahal as opposed to through IMI directly? I do see Zahal has free shipping to Canada but not sure if that’ll make a huge difference. Any duties or anything owing on arrival?
I took my Kidon to the range yesterday (first time in a while) and I really like this thing.
These days it is the closest thing you can get to an actual proper semi 9mm PCC. It is compact and light so handles well, obviously it is only as reliable as the pistol you put in it but my S2 is a good option.
The kit is well made and the charging handle works well and is positioned well. I used a brass catcher on the rail (just a Caldwell - nothing fancy) and it saved picking up brass - another win.
Ran 500 rounds through it and had a blast. If I have one criticism it is that it flexes if you squeeze / pull hard on it (which I do as I find it helps with recoil when shooting fast) so the zero moves (gets lower). Having said that It still churned out lots of As when I shot some drills.

Sniffer make sure you havr thr gun fully into the stock, and locked tight at the front and back. Not overly tight in the front but tight. The back has to be adjusted so there is minimum, read no flex. Tighten the screw that holds thr part that secures the beavertail. I don't think there is any flex in my kit, although i get better accuracy using my 92FS then my 40 cal M&P. I think you will find the wandering zero will tighten up with more practice with the kit.
