I dont do alot of high volume shooting so I am curious. What are the frequent breakdowns you noticed?
LOL at that Trojan picture.
You posted that to show how nice it looks? Like I said, about as nice as your average Glock.
Wow, just look at that beautiful finish. It looks like it was painted with barbeque paint.
Like I said. Not flashy, but quite functional.
Usually broken small parts.
I don't own one, so I never really care to investigate any further than that.
I keep hearing that Kimbers only look good. I must have been lucky because after roughly 4000 45 rounds and countless .22lr I have yet to have any "small parts" malfunction. I like the tight fit and trigger of my Kimber. I did not have that with the colt. As for the STI I owned I like the eclipse trigger sly better. But again all of this is personal preference so really these threads are kind of useless. And yes I am just as guilty because I am commenting!
I'm with you. My Kimber works great and I haven't had issues either. I sorta get the bashing because of the MIM and all that but people say this stuff like no other guns use MIM at all. Also, I can't remember exactly but I posted in a previous thread but Kimber sells something like 7 times more 1911s than all the other major manufacturers COMBINED so with that many more guns, obvs there will be that many more problems.
I try to stay out of it and like I said, I somewhat understand where the hate comes from but I take solace knowing that mine is awesome.
our wicked friend Google says this:
"kimber sucks" gives 2.3 million results
"sti sucks" gives 1.6 million results
"norinco sucks" gives 1.4 million results
"ruger sucks" gives 0.3 million results
and "1911 sucks" gives 1.9 million results
"glock sucks" only gets 1.0 million results
"woman sucks" gets 116 million results............................................... I didn't check details on this one, i'm at work. probably ###
