Kipplauf Club

Alright which one of you ####ers bought the BRNO K1 that Accuracy plus had for 800 bucks with mount and scope? I called in an hour too late apparently. Would have been a perfect trainer kipplauf.

And has anyone tried one of those Falco Arms monstrosities yet? They appear to be on sale

Conor_90 I missed it too, I saw the pictures they weren’t answering the phone so I sent an “I’ll take it email” just a few minutes after they opened.

All that to say it was gone then.

I find their sight has inventory loaded and removed in spurts so it could have sold in the previous days but was still added in error.

My design philosophy is to build actions as simple as possible, with an absolute economy of parts, and to build those parts very robustly to ensure strength and longevity,” said Bradshaw. “I also put a huge emphasis on building sleek, low profile, good handling and shootable rifles. The rotary action, and my rising-block actions, both fit all of the above criteria. It’s a good place to be as a designer and manufacturer.

So DGY, when does yours arrive?

End of the month possibly….. can’t wait anymore lol! With the combination of barrels/calibers I think it will be the most versatile gun ever hahaha

Nice. Price seems similar to a blaser or merkel, with the cool action and bespoke fitting etc.

The minimalist stock and design are really appealing

Looking forward to your review of it

I think there is some kind of legislation in the EU that requires a QD scope mount to weigh as much and have at least as many moving parts as the rifle for which it is intended...:)

Yes presumably this legislation was passed at the same time as the law banning scopes that weigh less than 1.5 lbs

i ve heard a lot of strange regulations but never that one ...

Can’t wait to shoot it!!

Looks like Rizzini has a kipplauf. PR has a mount for it but no guns.

Their doubles and combo guns are reasonably priced. Wonder if this could be a Jaeger 9 replacement for us peasants

The RK1 Model is a single-barrel rifled break-action ideal for stalking. The action is finished in titanium gray anodized light alloy with the names engraved on the sides and chest; the lock is Jager type and cocking is manual via slider (hand spannung). The barrel is marked Lothar Walther and has a satin black finish with cerakote protective treatment; possibility of mounting the muzzle brake (optional). The wooden parts are oil polished with scale checkering; humpback stock and elongated teardrop cheekpiece. Packed in box.

2.7 kg

Sure looks good!! There is a Thompson aristocrat with two barrel at PR right now!! It looks pretty good!

I conducted some research on-line and noted that Norway is selling them for $6,500 Canadian. Not inexpensive, however not $10,000 for a K95 Blaser. Finding Jaeger prices is finding a diamond in the rough.

Wow, besides the Lothar Walter barrel the gun seems near identical

Guess those of us with haenels got quite lucky

Edit:

Marstar will special order a sabbatical skl 20 for ~2500

Again, not cheap, but in the kipplauf world this is steal. May be the go to for the working man these days. When you look at the cost of higher end bolts/ mountain rifles it is a steal

I've seen good reviews but they were likely bought and paid for

Well 2500 bucks for a rifle like that is a steal!! I wonder if you could order a spare barrel and how much it would be!!
And it does look pretty darn close to a jaeger 9!!

A kipplauf I picked up from prophet river a few years ago after watching a review on YouTube by Ron Spomer. It’s a Luxus Arms model 11 with the engraved receiver and case coloured metal work. The company no longer manufactures rifles but the fit and finish is as expected from a quality gun maker. I’ve yet to find time to take it to the range let alone put an optic on it.

Is the side lever the safety?

Didn't know that those tilted, cool to see. Thought they were falling blocks.

How much does it weigh?

The side lever is the cocking mechanism for the hammer, that's the rifles safety. I owned one in a 7mm-08, made with precision and beautiful looking rifles. Mine weighed about 6.5 pounds. Yes, its a kipplauf.
