Knights Arms SR-15's

this is like being in a strip club and the hottest chick in the place is doing lapdances for everyone else. arrrrrggggg Here I've got the Hackathorn course I'm hosting coming up, and I reeeeeallllllllly want to have one of these for that.

Ok so here comes the newbie question.

Why is everyone in this thread trying to jump through their computer screens to get one of these SR 15/25's? After reading all the posts I get they are special but why?

Not trying to be a pain, just truely interested.
Because they're KAC. I'm not doubting that they're good guns, but it'd be naive to say that there isn't at least a little brand voodoo going on. And they are pretty ###y looking.

Its like most things that are rare and hard to get, they become more desirable.

The other thing is the features it has. To piece together a similar gun would be crazy expensive. But, it's not the ideal or best gun for everyone, or every job.

I'm more than happy with mine, as well as the spare upper.

Thanks for all the replies. The thread makse much more sense now. I was checking out OST's site and see they had a SR-25(not in stock anymore) priced at 7500. Reading this thread it looks like the SR-15 was in the 3000 range. Any reason why the 308 version is more than double the 556?

My understanding of the SR-25 is the R&D work that's gone into them requires the higher price, since they aren't a 'mass market' item.

No problem. I won't be able to make it now, and won't need it where I'll be at.... There'll be lots of other interesting stuff I'll get to try out and use.

It has a NF 1-4 on it now, would you rather an Aimpoint micro T-1?

I'll get some good mags out for you as well. How many will you need, 10?

Probably the micro, but I could run my own Aimpoint too.
5 mags should be good. Let me know shipping.

CooooOool

So any word, rumor, trickle down, sweat off someone's balls to let us know the situation?
