Knight's SR-25 Carbine

Different strokes for different folks...

I can't imagine ever spending $10,000 or $25,000 or $100,000 on a shotgun... but there are folks who do and we've helped import some for people.

I can't imagine spending $150,000 or $250,000 on a car... but there are lots of people who do.

I'm always amused at those who criticize or take shots at people who have the money and choose to spend it on unusual or expensive things...

I have expensive rifles... I don't have expensive shotguns... but I don't find the need (as some people seem to) to criticize or put down those who choose to spend their money differently than I choose to spend mine.

It's all relative... if you have hundreds of thousands in the bank and make big money then spending $10,000 or $25,000 on "toys" is no different than when you have a few thousand in the bank and make a medium wage and spend hundreds of dollars on your "toys".

Go to Vegas and watch the gamblers... some are playing blackjack for $10.00 per hand and others right next to them playing $100.00 a hand or $500.00 a hand... it's the same game... only the stakes change and their relative to the individual.

Just my opinion :)

I could never warrant nor justify spending 8K on a rifle, but it is quite lovely.

considering these guns have been unobtanium both in the US and up here for some time, there are a lot of people that have been dying to get there hands on them.

I for one first saw the SR25 and SR15 some 9 yrs ago and have always wanted one since then.

They are IMHO, MY holy grail of Black rifles.

I'm trying to figure out a way to justify NOT getting it.

While I'm going with 'kids Christmas presents' right now as plausible, the more I look at this the less critical a blow-out Christmas morning seems. Imagine waking up with this ####er under your tree.

For 2010 we will have two different commercial guns
20" SR-25 Match Rifle
16" SR-25 Carbinem the 2010 gun is different that the ones we are offering for sale, as the "Battle Rifle" type guns we are not longer making for the government and are offering the last of these for commercial sale, the 2010 carbine will be a commercial variant of our new government carbine

Neither will have ambi bolt release but all else is ambi.

Are we going to have something more affordable for the slaving peasants and the unwashed mass???? ;)

I can totally justify spending any amount on guns. I am saving up for a boat right now, and I also dream of the civilian version of the FN SCAR.

If I didn't spend a ton of money on guns this year I would be buying your gun now.

GT,

take this with a grain of salt as this is just MY specualtion from what I have read and understood regarding the newer commercial production BR SR25s.

-They may be cheaper and that would be reflected on some features removed ie. dimpled barrels, reviever sling plate etc.
-Different supressor capable gas block as to the ones on the Battle rifles.

Thats all I know, please correct me if Im mistaken.

colts for $2600.

We're talkin 7.62 platform AR variants dude. Unless Im mistaken, I don't think Colt makes one.

Again, My guess is that the newer commerial SR25s will be cheaper than the limited edition BR being offered now. You can wait and find out.

The POF P308 Gas piston rifles look really cool and at a fraction of the cost of a SR25. And it takes the same style mags.

You can go even cheaper and look at DPMS and Armalite(Noveske) 7.62 platforms as well.

CMMG is also making AR10 lowers which I believe can take either a G3 mags, ar10 mags.

Unlike others, our 16" and 20" guns are in Military service ;)

We hope to be able to bring down the cost on the 2010 Carbine, but I don't know.

We had a 2009 Commercial Carbine that went nowhere, as it was designed to be cheaper, but the majority of the interest was in the dimpled barrel and rear sling plate etc.

It costs money to make a 7.62mm gun that works...
