Kobra red dot sight

Yeah that is the wrong rail. That is for the pic rail. The proper rail says Herron arms MFG

Thank you very much for confirming what I suspected.

At least now I know.

I ordered the correct Kobra with mounting kit, but I guess mistakes happen. I’ve got an email in to TI so they can correct it.

How much space is there from inside the kobra body and the reciever (not on top of the dust cover but on the left side of the reciever.
I have a different style mount on my reciever (real AK mount) but is sits on the reciever tighter then Herrons mounts.

I just want to make sure there is some space there. I need about a millimeter of space roughly to be able to slide the kobra on.

Kobra arrived today, bit of a mixup in my order won't get into details as i'm waiting to hear back from TI.

Currently trying optic to plate compatibility off the rifle. Kobra and generic UTG AK mount fit good.
POSP SVD mount is a tight fit and it is unknown at this time if it will work as it would have to be slid in from the front.

The SVD mount simply wont work... properly that is. Sliding it on from the front is like finger tightening lug nuts on a wheel.

If Tactical Imports wanted to show you good customer service, they would send you a Picatinny rail to go with the Pic side mount, and a Kobra/AK optic compatible side mount plate; along with another set of mounting pins and a right side safety; that way you could you could have two mounts for the same rifle, or a second complete mount for another Type 81.

At this point I'd just settle for the correct rail.

I've emailed and left voice mail.

I'm in the same boat.. Ordered a Kobra kit separately and having the same issue.

Update heard back from TI about my order, at 530am EST. Everythings good and missing bits will be going out shortly.
Going to guess they're still pretty busy shipping rifles if still getting around to emails so early in the AM.

TI replied to my email and we confirmed that it is indeed a wrong rail. I'll be mailing the rail back for exchange.

they would be less busy if they didnt make all these minor mistakes, its also very frustrating and a hassle to their customers.

Are they going to send out the proper rail right away? Or will they wait to receive the wrong rail back by post? Wondering if it’s going to be a month before you, or I, see the proper rail.

I also got an email and sent a photo of the incorrect rail. No response back as of yet.
