Kodiak Defence WK 180 Gen 2

Hmmmmm, this is about the 3rd thread on CGN with New owners of the Gen 2 dealing with a ton of issues, not to mention what I have read on Reddit and Facebook as well.

I purchased two Wk180s Gen 1 when they first came out, nothing but issues with those as well, the bolt was eating the receiver away, constant feed issues, sent to Kodiak for re and re, came back in same condition. Sold them both with full disclosure.

I was really pumped with the release of the Gen 2s (still leary though) they stung me once already

Read a few amazing reviews and the shot show release videos looked incredible.......

As I stand today , with all that I've been reading lately Iam out , I'd rather drop 2 grand on a marked up MS receiver set on EE and do a build that I know will have none of the above issues everyone is describing.

These Gen 2s look killer though, iam sad that Kodiak still can't get it right, would of bought 3 if they "worked"

Literally a plethora of aftermarket parts to fix factory Kodiak issues. Lawl.

LAWL to the owners or... ?

ZERO reason that you should have to swap out newly made parts on a new gun that was JUST redesigned to have it run properly. Upgraded and Gucci parts only go so far when your QC and metallurgy is sub par...

I would have paid $1800 all day long to have these improvements.

And I'm sure some others would too, but many people can't justify (or afford) such a high price. These guns were specifically designed to cost no more than $1000, and now the gen2 is already 50% over that price point. I understand that stuff gets more expensive over time, but I can't help but feel like these wouldn't sell worth crap at the current prices if the OIC never happened...

If no OIC these wouldn't be worth $800...

A used Su 16 is going for $1400.. who woulda thought?

Other than a few cracked receivers, they’re way more reliable…and accurate!!! Lol

But they look like crap.. haha

I would never have bought one if the OIC didnt happen.

Gotta work with what we have though. These are the prices. The MCR is $1500-$1600, the Wk180 is $1500, the Sterling R18 and X95 are $2800. Gotta pay to play. I would ABSOLUTELY pay more for a rifle with significant improvements.

I think I might get though, maybe down the rd upgrade the barrel and trigger.

$1500 don’t go far these days man surprised the gun prices are staying so low, compared to everything else.

Either that or go buy one of those straight Jerk bolts or pumps.. lol…No offense

if shooting is to become a rich man's sport like yachting and horse racing we might as well get straight to everything being banned

EVERYTHING recreational has exploded in price, along with food, gas, houses and basically everything else.

Nothing in the firearms industry is going to get cheaper while we have a government entirely hostile to their entire sport shooting industry.

Heres to hoping the OIC gets turfed and we can buy a decent AR15 for $800 again.

The problem isn't with a government hostile to shooters, the problem is a government hostile to its citizenry, its economy, and free enterprise.
The liberals have literally been printing money and handing it out to anyone who will support them, from media, to corporations, to teachers, to homeless people.
What we are seeing here and in the US is unprecedented inflation, and unless it is immediately stopped (which won't happen for AT LEAST 3 years), we may be looking at runaway inflation, the same kind of thing they saw in Zimbabwe and Venezuela. You simply cannot print massive amounts of money, or the value of the money drops like a stone. Just absolute insanity, but of course, the average cbc watcher doesn't know any of this.

Don't worry about your guns and ammo. Shortly you quite literally may not be able to afford a roll of toilet paper (if purchasing with Canadian funds). This is the direct result of putting mental patients in positions of power (Or allowing dominion voting systems to pick leaders of western nations).

I suggest to everyone reading this, that they start to prepare. Stock up, get debt paid off, think about what you would do if there literally wasn't a crumb of food at the supermarket. It's a possibility that seemed impossible 10 years ago, but more and more likely with every OIC and party collusion (such as the communist NDP joining with the leftist liberals).

Bad times coming, and thanks to the traitorous ndp, we can't even get the turd out of Ottawa to slow it down or stop it.

The sky is falling, the sky is falling!!:runaway: Wouldn't appropriate advice to be rack up debt before the whole sh1t house goes up in flames? Who doesn't want to benefit banks forgiving mortgages when they realize they can't liquidate all their holdings in a collapsing market? Bear in mind, I'm not an economist so...do as you will.

Nope, you go right ahead and do that. You will be in great company with 80% of the Canadian people, who have the highest levels of consumer debt in the entire world.
Here's the thing. Debt never goes away. Someone is always willing to buy up debt even at pennies on the dollar. Today you owe the bank, tomorrow you owe the WEF, the mafia, Trudeau foundation, or any number of similar criminal cartels.

At this point, anyone who doesn't understand what the government is doing, either doesn't want to know, doesn't know history, or believes the budget balances itself.

I practice what I preach. I've got my own water supply, heat-fuel supply, backup generator, solar panels, food source, network of like-minded 'neighbours', and enough ammo to fight WW3. But sure, mocking and making jokes for sure is the easier route to take, you be you.

Lol. Nah, all one has to do is look to the 2008 financial collapse. At the end of the day, it was the federal tax payer who bailed out all the sh1t loans. There is literally no penalty for being a bad actor where these situations are concerned.

The budget is as irrelevant as cash...it's not a tangible thing. Money clearly isn't attached to anything any longer. You hold a 1930's mindset when a dollar was a promissory note for gold (tangible cash). Our current state (a status we've arguably been in since the beginning of WW2) is that the dollar is leveraged against a country's potential GDP, which is to say it's a loan that's value is directly to the values of goods and services that have yet to happen. Lot's of unsophisticated knuckleheads point to Trudeau's apparent ridiculous statement "the budget will balance itself", even some oppositional politicians have picked up on it...but not due to reasons you'd believe. They know it's a popular meme moment, so they capitalize on it. (Blue pill Red pill moment) What if I were to tell you, that Trudeau meant exactly what he said (whether he should have said it aside)? That ledgers can be cooked whereby they do in fact balance themselves? Everything you've been told about money and how it works is a lie.

YMMV.

De-masculinity of men, debasing currency, totalitarian government are signs of a collapsing society, at least two have been present in the collapse of Greek, Roman empire, Sparta, and even futile japan. Books written by Samurai that date back around 800 years ago have said that prosperity has made people unable to accept harsh truths. People today can't even tell you want a boy or girl is...

Society has entered a phase of "no person left behind" but the rule of common sense says " If too many people enjoy the free ride... and not enough people help pull, the wagon isn't going anywhere."

How did I start reading a thread about a Gen 2 WK, scroll down and end up listening to you yahoos and your doomsday rants. Jesus this forum is toxic.
