I have been debating on ordering one of these however, I have never actually seen one and don't know anyone personally who has one. I would love to hear some feedback from those using these stocks/chassis options. Pros/cons, modifications ect would be greatly appreciated!

My opinion is that the T1X isn't that well suited to chassis use. It's a fine base/production/sporter rifle but trying to make it something else isn't a great option.

The Oryx chassis is a great fit for the T1X. It fits like a glove, tighten the 2 action screws as per the Oryx instructions and you’re good to go. I like the feel and balance. I did order the stock extensions from MDT as I like minimum 14 1/2” LOP, the Oryx comes standard 13 1/2”. And order the $11 knobs for the adjustable comb so you don’t need to fiddle with an Allen key everytime you want to adjust. A few guys in my rimfire precision league have guns in the Bravo chassis. I’ve shot those rifles, but focused on accuracy as opposed to how the stock fit. But nothing negative to report on the Bravo and the guys using them are quite happy.

I haven’t shot the T1X yet as the rings I ordered were to high (1.5” Burris XTR Signatures) so exchanged and waiting for the 1” high rings to arrive.

I don’t think you will go wrong with either selection. I prefer the metal chassis systems, now on 3 of my rifles.

Why?

My Bravo Chassis works great.

Sure, now show the price tags of the bipod and barrel ;)

The point is the base model T1x doesn't 'need' a chassis, but then again very few guns do, and any good one shouldn't require a modification that significant out of the box to shoot well.

Most factory stocks are pure garbage. The grip angle is garbage. The cheek height is garbage. The feel is garbage. The ability to drop a rifle into a better feeling stock or chassis has little to do with the rifle "needing" it to shoot, but it sure makes the experience for the shooter more comfortable and repeatable

I have heard the Oryx fits like a glove. I won't have to add spacers as I don't have long limbs lol but if I go the route of the Oryx I will definitely add on those knobs for the adjustable comb. I do like the fact MDT is a Canadian company with support on this side of the border.

1" height rings worked perfectly for me however, I would benifit from a better cheek weld as the factory stock is a tad bit low for me.

Almost every precision rifle on the market started on a platform not initially intended for precision use. Voodoo is arguably the best precision rimfire rifle on the market. They use Remington 700 pattern actions which were designed for hunting rifles.

My T1x is an absolute laser beam and is consistently printing sub moa groupings at 50 and 100 yards. While I don't expect to gain anything in the accuracy department, I want a higher cheek weld and a stock that does not feel like it was made in China and purchased at Walmart.

I have had an oryx and have bravos. In my opinion the Bravo is better. Better grip feel, better looks, and the aftermarket options for the Bravo are limitless.

I agree on looks! I think a sako green bravo would look mint. My biggest push for a different stock/chassis is for an adjustable cheek riser. The factory stock is just a bit too low.

How is the availability of accessories here in Canada?

I don't "need" to change it out as it shoots like a dream already. I swaped out the pistol grip for a vertical grip and added a tikka t3 recoil pad as the plastic one kept slipping around on my shirt. My gripe is the low stock. I don't want to go lower with my rings but my head is not in a "natural" feeling position currently with the factory stock. Sure I can add an aftermarket cheek riser however, most look tacky and looks matter a lot in my world.

The T1X struggles to balance correctly in the light factory stock. Add a heavier one and the balance shifts even further to the rear.

You could fix this with a bunch of weights but the Oryx doesn't accept them and the ones for the Bravo bring the price way up.
Or you can deal with swapping in a heavier barrel. The rifle now costs more than a B14R.

I love my Tikka. It's a fantastic sporter/base class rifle that I've won silhouette and ORPS matches with. I've had it in a chassis for a while too. I own 3 stocks for it, none of them are a chassis style.

The best cheek riser for the T1X is IMO the Kalix Teknik

Gobig tactical carries almost all the krg line. Check out what he has in stock. Lots of options to customize your Bravo to your liking

I’ve had the Bravo and the Oryx. I prefer the Oryx.
The grip on the Oryx is much better IMO. The Bravo has an overly fat grip and its only comfortable in when you are directly behind the rifle. The Oryx is more multi purpose.
The Bravo is also front heavy whereas the Oryx is reasonably balanced.
