I don't have a ton of experience buying guns but I do have tons of experience in buying other stuff as I did that for a living most of my life. While my experience is somewhat limited in the firearms arena, I have found the retail end of the industry to be generally dismal. I know it's an old business but their thinking and manner of doing business can be very backward. One retailer I had the misfortune of dealing with refused to answer emails!
That being said, after cancelling a substantial order with that store I ended up buying that gun or one that is reasonably close from Ellwood Epps. What a difference!! I found every part of the transaction to be professional and pleasant. They have good experienced people and a corporate attitude that is top drawer. Since then I bought a Night Hawk Custom 1911 from them. Buying that level of gun can require more than the usual amount of communication. Once again, Epps part of the transaction was first rate. They will get all my business from now on.
