IPSC hit factor scoring kind of is at fault here. If it were Time Plus you could just engage them and move on and still do decently on the stage...
Very unlikely. A +10 sec penalty for each miss or failure to neutralize will screw you even worse than 0 hit factor for the stage. It was more like the stage balance of the match. If this stage was a medium course with more longer shots added to other stage, we might have seen a different outcome.
No one disagrees that practice is a key here, and as you can see everyone who placed high at this stage are members of EESA or another club that has 300m range. If I'm not mistaken, we have only 2 clubs with a 300m range... I guess that stage was a stunt to get more members join EESA.
