This was stated in different words in another section of the forum. Something along the lines of RCMP would classify any full body magazine as a RIFLE magazine and thus the 30/10s woul be classified as prohibited devices. Pending any reclassification, this is the information Questar provided us in late july in the related post.

The RCMP are interpreting the law incorrectly.

If the 10/10 is legal than the 10/30 has to be legal as well. They are both designed for a handgun commonly available in Canada. The only difference is the 10/30 looks like a standard AR-15 magazine, but that still doesn't change the fact that it is designed for a handgun, not a rifle.

Imagine that, the firearms bureacracy changing/tightening laws by "interpretation".
It must be nice to make up your own laws knowing most effected can't afford to call them on it, and the politicians certainly have no interest in it.
