Hahahahaha, didnt see this thread (MODS can delete newer one I started).

I picked up two of these and they are great. I will get more and for the rest of you who complain so much .. get over it.

There are Lame but Legal and fill a need for recreational shooters in Canada.

OMG

Things are getting out of hand! Firearms are just a hobby for me. Repeat, just a hobby. Canadiangunnutz is just for entertainment. Repeat, just for entertainment! I would like to apologize to 22short_Improved, Kaiser Sose, and anybody that I may have offended. Even though you, Kaiser Sose, called me a liar. I don't hate you! I just got caught up in the heat of the moment. Being a newbie, I learned a lot from this. To Kaiser Sose, I know that you're not a bad person. I sure you're a nice guy when not chating with me in Gunnutz. How do I know this? Because Joe dosen't associate with shady people! I hope you and 22short will accept my apology! My intentions were not upset anybody. I only wanted to promote my couplers. Yes, I didn't know about any other threads when I conceived this project! I'm sure there are many others that thought about this coupler but were too busy working to survive and paying taxes. We all don't want enemies but we all want good friends. I wish to have constructive conversation with you and 22short. I'm, also, sure that I can learn a few things from you two.

P.S. Please take care, I hope you guys are willing to chat with me as friends!!!

well said.

I knew someone would eventually make these. As soon as I first saw the LAR-15 mags, I had the idea as well. But I wouldn't be able to design something like this ;)

IMO $50 is way too much, but I can understand because these are new. I hope these go down in price eventually, then I look forward to trying them out.

Yes, when the price comes down to earth, like $25.00 each, I'll be in. Until then, duct tape rules the planet.

I asked at my work and they said they could make these for about $15.

Too funny!, so someone is going to make these for $15, with no overhead or profit? Everyone deserves to be paid for their time and energy.

I say go ahead and start the production run, get them painted, order some shipping materials, and get the website up and running with a shopping card and CC processing (or maybe EMT or both) or get yourelf set up as a dealer on CGN - I will one of the first to purchase your $15 versions!

/cl

P.S. I work in an industry that everyone says they can/will make/do something for a fixed $$ (always an off the cuff amount) but when the time comes to actually do the work, the costs always seem to be higher.:D

I wouldn't sell them for $15, more like $25, if I actually had them produced.

Plastic wouldn't be strong enough to handle any torque. The edge is too thin! It is currently made from high strength aircraft aluminum. Don't forget a plastic mold will run you up to $3000 without you knowing if your product will sell or not.

6 months ago I mentioned making them out of plastic. C Products just came out with a mag coupler that looks identical but costs 5 bucks and is made of plastic. A site sponsor just got them in on Nov 21st.

I think C Products stole your idea. We'll see if they hold up to any abuse, I think you'll be okay considering how patriotic some CGN'ers can be regarding Canadian made products.

lar-15 mag couplers

Just recieved a ten pack of these couplers from QUESTAR FOR $68.24 ALL IN.
They are a very tight fitting plastic unit that appears to fit just fine.

The aluminum wedge works great when u drop a 40 rd'r on the ground - no breakage.
Plastic side couplers for 2 30 rd'rs break, but aluminum side couplers dont.
Let us know if the plastic wedge works in 3 gun matches when mags are dropped. If they dont break - they are a bargoooon !
