LAR-15 mags and couplers

Just a thought ... maybe want to remove that backwards install pic from the first page? people skimming the thread might be turned off of these!

The first pic IS THE PROPER WAY TO INSTALL! The second pic is the "jury rigged" install and requires shrink tube to prevent them from separating. Apparently people skimming the thread should actually read it.

RRA does not make the mags, they are only made for the RRA pistol. Long story short the original company that made the mags went under and the two existing makers rose from the ashes. Apparently these days you have either ASC (sharp edges that can cause feed problems if not filed smooth) or C-products (which look like crap if coupled)
 
So what had inspired c products to make angled mags and not normal straight like others? Who woke up in the morning and said I wanna make angled mags?

That good sir will remain a mystery, unless Canam can shine some light on this. My guess is that C-products has no idea about people coupling them this way.
 
Are the ones that canadammo sells the good ones with the nice follower and solid build construction? I have some light grey ones I don't like, even though they work fine I just don't feel comfortable with them

Yes the Canada ammo ones are the nice build quality and orange follower. Just don't plan on coupling them lol.
 
BOOM! $530 worth of s**t I don't need with only one reason to justify. Because F**k you. That's why. I fully intend to couple all 10 of the little f**kers and I'll mod the couplers so they work backwards to keep the mags looking un-bent. A little mod never hurt anybody, my garage is full of proof.
 
This sport is sheltering more and more cry babies every damn day lol. If it works and is a great alternative to a ####ty legal five rounds, swallow the cosmetics appeal, use them and deal with it. All I hear these days is wahhh wahhhh wahhhh. Unless the angle is impeding in your "tactical manoeuvres" who cares how it looks, question should be "does it function" :0 ???

The best part is that earlier in this thread, I described how to deal with the angle so they look just fine. No compromise is required. I have used both the straight RRA LAR mags and the angled RA XCR Pistol mags and just reverse the couplers. They all work well & look fine.

I'm just baffled lately. Seems a lot of ppl just aren't happy unless there nagging about something. I thought I was going to escape that crowd when I joined the sport 10 years ago. You'd think the ppl of this sport would forget about complaining and just enjoy the right to own and operate cool toys and accessories and leave the complaining for soccer lol. It saddens me to know that after firing off rounds and releasing from the everyday grind, ppl still aren't happy and appreciative of what they have and how much they have doing it.

If I were bringing in the mags I'd simply reply " yes that is different angle, would you like your liberal 5 rounders back instead?" Lol
