holy crap thats a heavy mulie, got a score on it yet?

Is going to be scored at the 100 Mile House Big Buck Contest in January. The taxidermist has it for now. Its not going to win and I'll be lucky to place third. Some real monsters have come in this year. theres a 4x4 typical thats been green scored at 198+. Last I seen he was the leader.

Buck I got this year.My first one.

This years deer. Shot with a .308 and a 150 grain Hornady handload at about 100 yds. Dropped him on the spot. The mark at his throat is the bullet entrance. Followed the scent of my tracks up the trail with his nose to the ground like a dog. Wonder what he found so interesting about the smell of my 10 year old sneakers?

great first deer studly

You should've seen the one I missed a week before, the ole buck fever had me in it's grips and I missed cleanly. While I was dragging this one up the mountain, his grandpa came out and watched me for at least an hour I could've hit him with a rock :)

Thanks SC. It's funny when I am bigger than the deer! It sure tastes good though. :D
See MD, I'm keeping the '99 drive alive! (although I did sell this one :? )

Again, another deer killed with a 99!

Who ever said that it was the Win 94 in 30-30 thats killed the most North American animals is full of it!

Good goin 1899, now you gotta get another 99 to replace that one!

I have to start taking my gun to work.

Saw these two fellas at an oil refinery (S. Ont, GTA) I was working at today.

Went driving along the property buffer where the deer usually hang out. Saw 7 on a hill a way off.
Half hr later took a drive by where they went into the bush. HELLO! standing 10yds from the
truck were these two. grazing together with 5 does 50yds away bedding down for a nap.

They had moved apart 20-30yds by the time I returned with the camera. I have some better pics
but they are at work (that email didn't make it through :x )

The first one at a glance was a nice 10 but pics reveal a few more than that :D  .

The next two pics are of the 8. And a dam near perfect 8 to boot. A little bigger rack than the 10 8) .

This really makes my deer trip to Ohio seem like a waste of time  .

Can't wait to find the sheds.

Here's one of the Ohio Trip.

No, unfortunatly, I didn't shoot it with the AR. Shotgun only in OH.
(Could have shot it with the .45 I have on my hip though 8) )

Today I saw the rack from the mulie that will likely win the 100 mile house big buck contest... Wow! Scores in the 194 zone and is very impressive!!! A fellow from Kelowna shot it.

Big Bear At Longlac in 1950's shot with chopped 1911 7.5 ?

Just a comment. Does that 1950's pic show the hunter got his BIG bear with a 1911 Swiss straight pull in 7.5? IF so, bet that straight pull was a "aworking real fast eh"
