I set the camera on a tripod and used the self-timer.
Don Frye is the toughest man on earth! He was one of the original UFC fighters back in the day and was known for, well being the toughest dude on earth.
I guess it's not funny if you don't know him.

Nice pictures. Just a note for you in Canada we count the points on one side for the count. so the 8 point is a 4 by 4 and the other one is a 3 by 3 the count you used was a USA one were you add all the points together. I also notest that the bigger ones only show up at night. Same proble we have they are getting to smart to show up in the day time.
Sorry about that! The group of guys I hunt with always count the points on both sides. Maybe it has something to do with us living a mere 15 - 20 minutes away from Vermont. Yeah, the bigger guy has only presented himself after dark so I am looking for tips on how to get him out during the day!! Any ideas?
I think that (? x?)only applies to elk & mule deer...whitetails are counted by total points ie. 8point, 10 point etc. Everything that is >1" is a point. Maybe just a regional thing though?

It must be just there then becouse when we score them it is a one side count like a 4 x3 or a 4x4 and so on I grew up in Manatoba and now live in BC and we always counted one side. Our USA friends count both together. Not a big deal in any count just a comment on a differance in places.
On a way you can get the big ones out I have found rattleing when it is close to or durring the rut works well. take a pair of old horns and hook the points together and work them back and forth makeing it sound like a deer fight. do this in short sperts. then lissen wand watch. Every few in repete. you mat see some younger ones at first but if it is close to the rut the big ones should come a running.
