I've tried the Crimson laser grips on a Beretta 92G. Yes there is a look cool factor when you put the red dot on the target. However in timed drills trying to aim and shoot with using the laser for a sight was quite a bit slower than with old fashioned iron sights. We tried it out on the range in Sunlight cloud, on Simunition guns inside and in force on force training. We all saw that Iron sights are faster. One spent to much time f*&#king around trying to see the laser on target or get the perfect sight picture with the laser.
IF you are into CDI stuff, go for it.
Infra red Laser's have a place on other weapon systems, when mated up with night vision etc. Those systems work well. I've played around with those and was impressed.
