Not sure if i am makeing this more complicated than need be......

I bought a lee pro 1000 (3 die turret)
I had only reloaded pistol calibers up till now but i noticed they sell the kit in .223 aswell so i figured it would be the same as when i started with 45 went and bought dies and a shell carrier plate.....

With the 3 die set there is no way to introduce powder into the shell after it has been reprimed?

In all reality im going to buy a single stage for .223 but lets say i was going to use this setup in my head it goes like this (brass is trimmed)

Case lube shells
Load shells deprime and reprime all shells
Load newly reprimed shells with powder
Remove depriming die and ensure no primers in the feed
Then seat die and crimp die?

Like i said unless im way overthinking this ill just buy a single stage for 223 but can anybody point out if the suggested method would be nesecary with this press or is there a simpler way?

Thank you in advance for opinions

I am looking to buy the 223 shell plate for my pro1k so i can speed up my 223 loading. I will do the following to speed things up.

1. Clean brass, add lube then resize/deprime.
2. Trim to length
3. prime, fill with powder, then seat bullet to length.
4. crimp.

for step 1, put the sizing die in station 1 leave station 2 and 3 empty
for step 3, buy a lee short charging die for rifles and use the auto disk or drum style powder measure. (station 1 empty, charging die in station 2, bullet seating die station 3)
for step 4. put the crimp die in station 1. (station 2 and 3 empty)

Just an update your method works like a charm i would recomend the double disk upgrade for the powder measurer the largest hole was just big enough for me to get the starting load of my powder in

for what it's worth I put a DILLON powder measure and tower in place of the lee one- I found myself refilling far too often even with the double disk kit-I use 25 grains of 748 over a cci small rifle primer- 70 grain sp pill

Good to hear, if you haven't already i would look into modifying the case feeder for even faster production.
