Lee pro auto disk for 30-06 reloads

Im a reloader, not a handloader with limited experience. Im looking to get factory quality results for a decent price. Thus Ive been using the lee pro auto disk which is really for pistol calibre but worked alright for my .308 load. I like it mainly because its quick and affordable. I screw the thing into my turret, lift the round, it shoots it full of powder and were on with things.

Now that I've graduated to 30-06 I think its gonna take me two separate "injections" to get enough powder into the cartridge. Even with the rifle set they offer it just doesnt dump enough powder in one throw.

I know that it isnt the most accurate thrower to begin with, by doubling the "injections" I will also be doubling the innaccuracy of the thrower. Is there a better system for this that I can use with my lee turret press? looking for something that is case-actuated

The disk double kit is pretty handy but you still bump into times when it's not enough. I've got a 45-70 load that requires two pulls to hit the mark.

Needless to say I'm extra vigilant when loading those beaties. Thankfully, a third pull would overflow the case so it's a visual reminder of a f**k-up
 
I would look at the Lee Perfect powder measure, or a used powder thrower from one of the other brands like RCBS. The Auto disk is nice for pistol but even double stacked will need more than one pull for larger volume powder charges/cases and wont work as well with extruded/stick powder as with ball and some flake. Also for $10 the Lee Scoop set can be very accurate using Lee's method in his book, but charges are limited to the scoop sizes.

I forget where I got the idea from, maybe it was here, castboolits, thr, something like that. Yes, you add longer screws - sorry I forget the thread. You get some brass tubing from a hobby shop, CTC etc that just fits over the screws. Cut it so that it makes a snug spacer for the longer screws. I have 2 double disk kits and I got the micro adjuster unit. Here's what it looks like with the micro adjuster in place:

I also came across a handy dandy VMD Calculator spreadsheet with the VMDs for various powders and the appropriate combination of disk holes in the Double Disk setup is then calculated for the grains you want to load. I modified the spreadsheet to work with a third disk. I could make that spreadsheet available but I'd like to figure out where I got the original first so that I can give credit where credit is due.

None so far. I've only tested it for functionality and it seems to be fine. I've only been loading precision rounds since I did the mod and for that I use my Hornady auto dispenser.

The threads that I found that discussed this had very positive reviews of this mod. I can let you know how it works some time after the hunting season when I have time to cast a bunch of bullets and load up some plinkers.
