Lee Quality, in steady decline?

And these latest Lee ####ty dies were in the craptacular 6.5CM which they might be pumping out as fast as they can due to popular demand lol.

I have all lee products years , all have been fine and serviceable . Recently I bought the lee auto prime and it's terrible . dealt with warranty the sent new part right away , now i notice an o ring is broken .

I got a Lee Ergo Prime as my first priming tool. Only used the insert for the large primers. Problems right from the start and it quickly started jamming. I just contacted Lee yesterday and the lady said they have changed to a different material than the clearplastic material. We shall see. She is sending me free new small and large adapters for it. Still leery of trusting it though. I went back and checked the seating depth on the last few I did and it was reading .050-.011 so I also ordered a Frankford Arsenal one to control seating depth a little better than that. Gotta go, got some primers to remove so can try again.

With the Lee kits I really only use the FL and Collet die, and the FCD occasionally. The collet die is fantastic for larger chambers, the FL die always have centered expanders, and if you need a crimp nothing better then the FCD.
The seaters are aweful, and once I tried a different brand shell holder I could see just how much slop there is in the Lee ones. I was surprised at the improvement in groups just changing to a decent shell holder can make.

There warranty and service is IMO worse than their product.

I will not support them every again.

Had a collet die jam on a case , no it wasn't my first use or first case I ever sized , which is what they think was the problem as they attributed it to use error , ok, so I ask if they will warranty the pieces for the die, they said sure no problem, they will replace them no questions asked if I purchased the parts and paid for shipping(which was more than buying the complete die locally).

There is a reason that their product line is priced as it is.

Now, RCBS has been beyond expectations, I couldn't pay for parts even when I asked to pay for them! I will continue to support RCBS, Redding, Forster.

Lee and Hornady , well , that is for whomever want it I guess.

There is no time for poor quality tooling.

I have all Lee stuff. I only reload straight wall pistol cartridge. It was cheapest on the market... by a long shot. Only part of it that I'm not happy with is the safety prime... will probably switch to hand prime.

The only peice of Lee junk I own is a universal decapping die and that is some place in the back of my cubboard and hasn't seem the light of day for years. The only dies I will buy now is either Redding or Forester.

So much hate, lol. Maybe I'm just too stupid to know the difference but all of my Lee stuff works fine. I will admit that I did wreck some pins due to not knowing what I was doing but I accept that and won't blame Lee for my screw ups.
