Legal 8.5" 6.5" Rem 870 w/ Pistol Grip

Just to confirm.

Does Dlask need to install the barrel and pistol grip? Or can we purchase these and install them ourselves?

 Thanks Ike. I almost forgot about the folding stock. Never put a folder on one of these guns! You can put a solid stock back on, but not a folder.

I do know that the 6.5" Dlask will be unrestricted as well. :D

Man...I fired a bunch of 3" slugs through my Rem 870 14" and it was a handful as it was- nobody wanted to fire it! I wonder what firing that would be like...I'd try...;) :D

This is insane... I thought I had it bad explaining 12.5" barrels to people not in the know :D

Now a pistol gripped 8" 870 that is non restricted?????

Where do I sign up!!!

Well, the magazine tube needs to be cut down and re-threaded. So if that is something you are comfortable doing, you are good to go as long as you are buying factory parts and not modding an existing barrel.

Not be be a nay sayer but we are so going to get nailed when they decide to start fixing all these loop holes.... In the mean time we might as well enjoy it :)

Just to add,
The ruling is a little complex and varies between pistol grips and folders as well as Restricted and Prohibited. Read those definitions and know exactly what the rules are before you start sticking different bits on your gun, call the CFC firearm techs if you need help ;)

BTW: There are more than one of them floating around, I have had mine for a couple of weeks now, they are a blast! I also have correspondence from CFC to verify the fact.

Wow..

Bear defense threads just go tmore fun!!:)

While I am not abig fan of pistol grip shotguns, that one is so small and portable it could double as a handgun in the bush.

I'd load it with some 2 3/4 slugs, the lightest recoiling ones I could get, and with some fixed sights installed, it woudl be accurate enough, as well as have a bit more power than many handgun cartridges..

And you woudln't have to muck around wiht ATC paperwork and fees, either.:)

Silly question then. What's to stop us from putting a pistol grip on a 12.5" barrelled 870 then? Theoretically the same principles would apply...

[He asks as he eyes up his 12.5" Marine Mag :D ]

Hey this is neat, it's crummy, though, how most of the parties in this country and their bureaucrats seem to think that 'excessive freedom' for responsible citizens is this horrible problem for society that needs to be corrected(40mm situation). I like, though, I like! What's the recoil like on one of these puppies? I would think it would look great with those Thompson style grips, fore and back, and lastly would it be good for anything more than targets 30 feet away?

This appears to be made by a manufacturer. Anyone have a guess?

Not much chance of that I'm afraid. TSE tried to import the Serbu line, and The State Department wouldn't issue export permits for NFA items.

Perhaps we could get Serbu to supply his custom barrel and pump to one of our gunsmiths??

I don't think you can get an export permit for a class 3 barel. I think they would have to licence a manufacturer here to make them here.

I other news our short barel gun laws are just as confusing as the American ones.
