Next to no bluing left.

Strange. 1954 are mostly in a very good condition.

Note the peep sight made from a Lee Enfield " L " sight. Cut a slot in the cover and brazed the sight in position. The lever and pin have been replaced with a 1/4" bolt. The receiver is threaded. This holds the cover tight.

I bought this a few years ago from a retailer who claims it came in a crate. I have never seen one like it. Honest wear , no refurb all numbers match. Looks like a mag reblue when it was Frankenpinned. I have not fired this rifle.

I like it!

Ready? Custom fiberglass stock lol.

Yeah!!! There you go.

Where is the guy who welded a PSO scope rail and engraved a Spetsnaz logo on a Yugo M59/66? I wonder if he doubled his money like many of us did... LOL!

That looks awesome!!! I'd almost be tempted to purposefully distress one to look like that...

Bought this cheap as a mismatched 'tacticool' gun with an optics rail, Archangel stock and tapco mags.... thought the optic rail was actually useful, but the rest, not so much, so I gave away the stock and mags. Since it was already mismatched, I ditched the Archangel for a Russian stock, and added the magwell. I generally hate tacticool SKSs, but this ugly bastard is at least practical! Works perfectly with the 10-round pistol mags, but I haven't tried it yet with the pinned 30/5

I like ugly but functional over pretty but useless :)

It looks great . no Blueing left except the mag . well used but taken care of . a testament to it's durability also. Very nice.

I might be wrong but it looks like fir to me from the look of the bark, larch bark is redder. Have both in the woodshed this year and they look different when you see them beside each other.
