i'd be curious to see results of the Copper Plated High Velocity Hollow Point rounds made by American Eagle. that's my favorite stuff to shoot, and i bet it would be even more lethal at longer ranges.

Out of curiosity how high would you have to hold over the turkey at 300 yards to hit it? 10 feet or more? Just guessing.
It's more of a copper wash then a plating....not going to affect penetration in any way.
.22 will kill, theres just no stopping power, and your target will take a while to die, meaning they have a chance to make you die as well, which they will do since you've just shot them..
My friends and I shot a few cars/trucks with .22lrs, went through the whole door, but I believe they were useless after exiting the inside of the door.
