Let's find a better forend for Dlask 8.5"

Has anyone found a better forend yet that will fit the Dlask 8.5"? If so, please post ideas and suggestions here.

I would really like a small forend with a folding grip on the bottom. Does anyone where I might be able to purchase something like that?

Grab a regular forend, chop it down to size, bolt a picatinny rail to the bottom of it and mount a folding grip

I called Dlask about an alternative forend and they said they know they need something better and they're working on it (who knows how long that will take).

I've decided that I would like to have a folding vertical forend 1) for safety to keep my left hand from getting "blowed off" and 2) to help with recoil (wow what a kick!)

On the recomendation of another member here I've ordered a Beretta folding grip: http://www.houtsenterprises.com/product58.html

I've also ordered: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/st...89&st=REM. 870 3-RAIL FOREND ASSEMBLY&s=48478

in the hopes that it can be cut down to size to fit the Dlask 8.5" and the folding vertical grip can be mounted onto it. If that doesn't work, I've also ordered: http://www.brownells.com/aspx/NS/store/productdetail.aspx?p=18235&st=573-000-027&s=42223

to bolt on the orignal forend.

If anyone has any better ideas, I'm all ears.

i just checked their website and they have a forum, from what i read serbu is basically a one man company, in the forums he posts as markserbu and it looks like he makes the firearms himself, he also takes on projects people ask him so i think that it shouldn't be a problem to buy a forend for him or even to order a batch as a group buy!

i don't need one but for the right price i would get one and keep it while i wait for the 8 inch grizzly mags

anybody wants to do a small group buy?

I believe that it would be too long. The MCS is for a three round tube and 10" barrel if I'm not mistaken, should fit a special field though.

I just got off the phone with Serbu. They don't sell parts and they're not set up for exporting to Canada either. :(

Then again, it shouldn't be too hard to just braze on a piece of picatiny rail onto the forend tube...
