with my Miroku/Winchester 44 mag

Nope, no more 30-30's for me. She's a 35 Rem, only way to go!

Is that a pre cross bolt safety??? I think I need more Marlins!

Yes, no safety, the way it was intended to be. I had a WTB ad in the EE, and a gentleman contacted me about his 44mag Marlin. I thought it would be beat with a safety, but he sent me several pics of this gun and it looked mint, closely examining it I can't see a flaw. I don't think I should mention the price, but he offered a very fair price and I didn't dicker at all.

My Pedersoli 86/71 is now complete after installing the new bolt mount peep sight.
I'm quite happy with this .45-70. (What looks like marks on the blue is just lint.)

Is there any tendency to shift zero with a bolt-mounted peep sight?

There's barely any movement side to side on this sight and none fore & aft. No problems with holding zero.

Double beauty. When I proposed to my wife back in '91 at Xmas time, I first gave her a VZ52 that I tuned up as a present and then whipped out the ring.....it woiked! Wooo..boo..boo..boo..boo.

Finally snapped a quick couple of pictures of my .307 and newly acquired Ithaca 72.

Maybe one day I'll actually figure out staging pictures properly, but for now, I'll try to get the best shots I can from in my basement.
