Lets get a some lever action #### going

My latest lever action came to my door today....a very nice condition Winchester NRA Commemorative.
She shows very little wear on the metal & the bore is squeaky clean.(A few shots of Wipe Out made sure)
The wood is great & without any dings, though some of the varnish on the fore end is rubbed off.

I'll be stripping the finish and giving the stocks a nice Tru Oil job. A couple of itty-bitty touch-ups on the
blue will fix up the metal. This rifle courtesy of a fellow Nut from Ontario. I love the feel and balance of
this 30-30.:D

Please post up pics after you refinish the furniture. I suspect the walnut on that rifle will turn out quite spectacular with a tru-oil finish.

That's a fine looking rifle.

My newest lever showed up an hour ago, a Pedersoli 86/71 Standard in .45-70, and it's a sweet rifle.
These guy's sure make nice firearms. I'm very impressed with the build quality & wood selection.
The beasty feels a tad lighter than an original Winchester 71 due to the bigger bore and modern steel,
but I ain't #####in'.....This rifle is a big step above what one could get from American makers for the
price. Me mucho pleased. Viva Pedersoli!:D

Those are really nice guns. Did you know that Pedersoli makes a bolt peep for it, and that the bolt is already cut to accept it.

That Pedersoli 86/71 is a sweet looking rifle. I have never had my hands on one, but it looks like they are very well done indeed. And if it is even just the slightest bit lighter than the original 71s, that is great. Those original 71s are a heavy rifle. Still one of my favorites though.

Just finished up on the Win.'94 NRA and I'm quite happy with 'er. I stripped off the old dark plum finish and gave the stocks a shot of dark walnut gel stain followed by 3 coats of Tru-Oil. After stripping down the action, I installed an XS rear aperture sight and Marbles barrel slot blank. The internal parts of the rifle are just tidy as the external ones, and the action is slick & tight.:)

Just have to make up some cast boolit loads for this rifle and see what it groups like.

Here is my latest acquisition, a Marlin 336 Carbine made in 1975, and it can shoot too, as evidenced by the 5-shot group at 100 yards.

I'll attempt to make my inaugural foray, Savage 99 in .243. Not sure of the year, but it has the rotary magazine, gold trigger and an 'M' beside the 99 on the barrel. Forgive the messy picture, I'm many things, but a photographer is not one.

I'm also close to acquiring my first Winchester, a 94AE in .307.
