It's a beauty! I bought that off an Amish buddy that bought a BLR in 270 for moose hunting. I think I paid $450.. One of the finest guns I have ever owned. My wife claimed it as her own a couple years ago and that's when the 30/06 was purchased. unfortunately I still prefer the .257 Roberts.
Just got this back from Frank at Cerakote BC. 16 inch rossi 44 mag. I love the way it turned out but definately not a traditional look for a lever action.

Thanks. I refinished a boyd's stock and put a pachmeyr recoil pad on (mostly for length of pull). The wood to metal fit is just OK after some minor adjustment. Someone more skilled than me could probably get it closer.
I see you did not remove the safety on top of the bolt. There's some nice options for that from just a plug to a ghost ring or peep sight.
On my Rossi's, I reshaped the safety lever into a button & fitted XS ghost ring sights over top.

I seen that, I believe it was a 25 acp but very cool nonetheless, now to find some 25 acp ammo lolI saw a good you tube video where a guy used a .32acp case to replace the safety. Now that was a conversation piece. He deactivated a live primer to make it look like a live case. Very unique.
