Let's make a concerted effort to get pics, shall we?

Wicked "rub" pic

Came across this while hunting yesterday. The break is at just over 6 ft. Something fairly big would have done this, right?

Got out waterfowling 2 Sunday's ago. Only bagged one greenhead, but still had a great morning out on the water.

My blue heron confidence decoy. First season using it, & it seems to help.

Duck decoys are on the left, geese on the right.

The first one is a sauer cape rifle in 43 Mauser and 16 gauge and the second is a model 600 in 308 with some work done to it.I'm packing a middland 12 gauge hammer gun for Pheasant and the bottom is a #2 parker

Bruce, could you post a few bigger pics of the of the Sauer and also a few shots of the 43 Mauser cartridge with a 22lr and some other rounds as comparison?

My photo skills are not very good. the cartridge on the left is a 358 Norma mag ,43 mauser middle and a 22 long rifle on the right

by the way I,m in need of 43 brass, does anyone down there make brass for that calibre?

Great pics, Bruce.
And, yes, I believe Bertram makes 43 Mauser brass but it's exy.
Do you have a source for Bertram in Canada?
If not I'll see if I can find one here and could perhaps ship some to you.
BTW, could you take a pic of the muzzle of the Sauer?
I love to see the rifling on those old cape guns and double rifles.

Southern Alberta Last Weekend Mulies

Here's a few from Friday and Saturday. I was finally able to get a chance on a buck and took this guy in WMU 108.

This is my hunting partner and his 12 year old sun at sun rise on the last day of our season. The boy has been coming out with us for a few years now, and will probably start hunting with us next year.

Even if it's in Montana, Chief Mountain is still one of Southern Alberta most recognizable land marks.

After getting home, the wife wanted some pepperoni and sausages.
Found this guy stufing himself full of blueberries.

Finally got out chasing the Coastal Ghost (Blacktails).

Found this one sunning himself on a ridge with a couple ladies. All I saw first was his antlers glowing in the sun.

It has been a good season and the freezer is full. Still a week and a half left and will get out a couple more times.

Cheers

Noel - what kind of camera do you use, if you don't mind me asking?

The Rams and such were a NIkon F65 35 mm with a Tamron 28-300mm lens. It is very entry level, scenery is gorgeous (I did not make that ;)) and the timing is everything. If you look close though the pics are really grainy and I have not been able to remedy it. Drives me crazy as I am VERY picky about the pic quality.

Most the ones I've posted are from a little sony cybershot 7.2. It is no better for pic quality but it fits in my shirt pocket and it ready at a moments notice.
For each one that works I bet I have five that suck.

Will try a Canon next, want to hit those magazine quality level of pics in a 100 year old kind of flair. I think a Digital SLR is the next one.

knockturnal, that drop deserves a place on the mantel. Great score!
