lets see some hunting/survival packs

Defictonde, why two axes?

The Gransfor is my baby, it's awesome and it does whatever I ask of it

The fiskars is just so light, it's not a problem to have it in my pack. Plus, the pack was designed as a 2 person supporting pack. Redundancies (2 kind of stoves - a Firebox and a MBD BIOS2, a large snow peak cook set - the Titanium 1400, 2 kind of water filtration - Katadyn hiker pro and pur tablets, etc) are good, saved me a couple times and I use hiking as a workout so more weight isn't an issue.

I'm not an ultralight backpacker, I'm a "lots of firepower" hiker / backpacker, if you follow Nutnfancy's definitions. You could ask why I carry an Esee-5 when I have a 6. I do just because I like it, I LOVE the 5, it's ridiculously too large for my needs, but I like it.
