Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

No idea yet, I just picked it up after work last night. Weather permitting, I may head out this weekend and dust a few crows with it. So far I'm liking the english stock as this is my first with one.

I would love to have a sub gauge of some sort as well, but most of my hunting are for big birds, and I think a 12 is more more suitable for my needs.

Absolutely great thread, keep it going.

A little old fashioned with hammer but should not be out of place in this thread....

Hardly out of place in this thread! With an english (straight) stock and repairs to a couple of screw heads, I'd crawl over broken glass for this gun.

How is is chambered and is it nitro proofed?

The rib is marked "Simson & Co Suhl Waffenfrabiken". 20ga 2 3/4 nitro proofed, 28" barrrels, action scaled for 20ga and not on a 12ga action. Very nice handling gun.

I bought this Browning BSS just one week ago. Ive looked for a BSS for awhile, but never found one in very good shape untill now. This one was built in 1975,has 28" imp/mod barrels, single non-selective(silver) trigger, and must have been somebodys safe queen cause it is very near as new.

Man! If I won a big one(not likely since I don't buy tickets) I'd wait until they did their little interview and then state I was going to use the money to buy dozens and dozens of guns! I can only imagine the look on the interviewers face  :D

Rancher, I buy tickets regularly and have always thought I would try to avoid the interviews and contact with the media. You know, keep a low profile.

But you got me thinking. Now if I won, I might come equipped with a Powerpoint presentation on the hundred of guns I would be rushing out to buy.

BTW, the chances of winning, while slight, are still worth the gamble. I personally have know three different 649 winners, two individuals and a group at an office I have reason to visit on occasion. 2.5 million, 7 million (in the late 1980's) and 11 million.

Alright folks, this thread is just to good not to chime in :)

Time for the German Side-by-Side contingent to shine. The following are photos of my Merkel (built in Suhl, early 70s). And though it is my field gun, it only comes out during 'fair weather' ;)

Okay Sauerkraut, here's a German gun. Heym from the 1920's. I may have posted pics of it before but if I did, it was a long time ago. And #### is always fun to see twice!

Brian, calm down. Take a deep breath. Pop a nitro. Have I seen pics of the recently acquired English Boxlock?

And is it just my computer or did Sauerkraut forget to actually post the picture of his Merkel?
