Let's see some pic's of your SxS's & O/U's

I'm a little late to this party, but here is a Webley & Scott in 12ga up front, and another english 12ga of similar vintage in the rear.

Thanks folks, I am very pleased with the results, I certainly thought there was this kind of potential in the stock but it took a fair bit of work to get it to this point (I wish I had taken before pictures!). It's previous owner had carried it a lot over the years and I spent the better part of the winter and spring cleaning, steaming, cleaning and oiling to bring it back up to this condition.
Now that i have been biten by the sxs bug, I'll have this one out this season and am currently seaching for its 20ga accomplice.

Rsco, isn't it great when you can reveal wood like that.....the suspicion something good is under all that crap and the confirmation it was. Really nice work.

John, was hoping your new RGL would show up here.

Here is one of my sidelocks, freshly back from the repair shop, where it languished for far, far too long. Don't ask.

Lovena 8 pin sidelock, gold washed internals, articulated front trigger, intercepting sears, stocked to the fences, side clips, cocking indicator, bushed firing pins, horn butt plate. Made in Prague best guess around 1921 with 28 1/4" barrels choked IM & IM. Bore is a tight .711 in each barrel. Chamber is 2 1/2". Best guess by my smith is except for the new re-blacken, barrels are untouched.

The gun was in getting the barrels re-blackened and the stock refinished along with a strip and clean of the action.

Here is a new addition to my Browning Citori Lightning family... top gun is a .410, to go along with the 20 & 12 gauges.

Okay, here's another from the safe I don't think I have posted before. Just got the barrels back after a perfect re-blacken and the repair of a few dents by my barrel guy.

It's a Roblin a Paris 12 gauge sidelock circa 1905 with 30" Leopold barrels choked IM & IM and stocked to the fences. My barrel guy says it was untouched so those should be the original chokes. There is still significant although faded case colours left and the engraving is exquisite. I'm sure my photos don't do it justice.

Roblin a Paris was a highly regarded maker (not retailer) based in Paris, one of just a handful of French gunmakers not based in St Etienne. His shop was open between about 1855 and 1925, the latter 35 years or so run by his sons after the founder's death. I am only aware of three other Roblin guns residing in North America, all very high quality. When a well regarded US retailer heard I had acquired this gun out of France, he offered me $4500 USD on the spot for it, sight unseen. I told him I would consider the offer once I got the gun out of France and into my hands in Canada. I'm keeping it!
