That's a nice Belgian made sold by New haven.
the Interchangeable stamping on the lock is the key as well as the grip, cross bolt and hammers as well!!
Jannsen and Sons, etc, also sold them as well as many others.

Thanks for the info Cat, I'm very surprise of the condition of the gun, probably sleeping in a closet for a long time.

Always love looking at all the treasures that members share on this thread. Another one that needed a cleaning recently, nothing special but a little different.

The trigger plate mechanism has v-springs compared to coil springs found on Beretta's and Browning's.

and here is a internal pic of a Beretta S687EELL I found on the internet....

Oberndorf, great looking sidelock. Can you tell us a little more about it?

Thanks, glad you liked the gun. It is an old Italian OU made in the early 50's, 28 inch barrels, full and extra full chokes. I will have to open up the chokes. I found the simplicity of the v-springs and case colored hammers interesting. It is made by the old Italian family Galesi who made the popular Rigarmi Brescia .25 pistols. Apparently they made some shotguns too.

Oberndorf is that's nothing special. I'd like to see something you consider special.

When I said nothing special I meant that it is no small gauge Parker, pre-war Prussian Charles Daly or vintage British SxS with lot of collector interest. Here is another one dear to me....

Just to be clear Patrick, Ferlach is where the gun was made/proofed. Not who made it. You may already know this and if so, forgive me. Ferlach is the gun making centre of Austria. Suhl was/is a major gun making centre and location of a proof house in (East) Germany.
